Scheduled to open in the third quarter of 2008, Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Tainan will be Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts’ second luxury property in Taiwan.

Located in the heart of downtown Tainan, the hotel overlooks many of the city’s historical and cultural treasures and is conveniently situated next to the city’s main transportation hub, adjacent to the Tainan Main Train Station. The Taiwan High Speed Rail Station (THSR), which has connections to six major cities, is only a 25-minute drive away.

The hotel faces the National Cheng Kung University (NCKU) and is 40 minutes by road from the renowned Southern Taiwan Science Park (STSP), a base for high-tech companies producing semiconductors, optoelectronics and pharmaceuticals.
