Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts, Asia Pacific's leading luxury hotel group, will operate the 153-room Shangri-La Hotel, Miami, to be developed by Flagstone Property Group, and will open fourth quarter 2011 at the spectacular Island Gardens on Biscayne Bay.

The building, shaped like a stylised lighthouse, was designed by concept architects Eric Kuhne & Associates, London and architects Spillis Candela DMJM, Miami; while the interiors will be designed by Piero Lissoni, Italy's leading interior designer. In front of the hotel will be the only Mega Yacht harbour on the Atlantic coast, which is destined to become the winter base for American, European and international glitterati.
