Prior to her current position, Ms. Chen was vice president – marketing, projects in charge of marketing functions of new hotel projects to ensure successful openings. Previously, Ms. Chen was director of marketing, Grand Hyatt Taipei following a post as director of marketing at Shangri-La’s Far Eastern Plaza Hotel, Taipei.   She began her career in catering, banquet and social sales and coordination.  A Taiwan native, Ms. Chen joined the company in 2004.
